How do the classes work?
At Rockdale Coaching College, we have primary school group tutoring classes for Maths, English, and Selective Coaching. The non-selective classes for year 3 to year 6, run once a week. The year 3/4 class is a combined Maths and English class.
Our classes are kept small to allow our tutors plenty of time to work with each student individually. Primary school classes are kept at a maximum of eight students per class and as such, we do require that parents book in early before the term starts.
If you would like to learn more about our tutors and how we teach at the centre, please visit our About Us page. If you have any more questions or wish to enrol, please contact us via email or speak to our Primary Class Coordinator Jenny directly on 0422 342 361.
Selective Coaching Classes
Students can join our selective stream if they wish to learn and practice the skills required to sit the Selective High School Entrance Examinations.
It is recommended that students are enrolled into the College at the beginning of Year 5. During Terms 1 & 2, the students will be in the general Year 5/6 classes to make sure their required skills in Maths and English have been covered. From Term 3 onwards, they will move onto more specialised classes focusing on the Selective Examination content. During the summer holiday and leading up to the exams in March, students may be required to take extra classes and will also be asked to come in for practice tests.
